| Happy July 4th! |
For everybody in the US, I just wanted to wish you a Happy July 4th! I hope you have someone special to share the day and watch fireworks with. If you don't, we hope to help you find that special someone soon! Our community is growing everyday, with users from all over the world!
For those of you like me that like to pick up bits of Japanese while watching Anime, you'll hear the word for "fireworks" quite often. (Especially if you watch a lot of Generic-Shoujo Anime, which have mandatory Summer Festival Scenes! [:)]) The word is Hanabi, which literally means "flower-fire". Regular fireworks that burst in the air do look like "fire-flowers", so I'm going to assume that's where the word came from. |

| 2X2=Shinobuden Licensed |
According to ANN, 2X2=Shinobuden was licensed by The Right Stuf International.
Let me just say that this is pretty cool. That's one of those shows that I never expected to be able to own on DVD because I didn't think it would ever be licensed. We'll be sure to do a Giveaway when TRS releases the first volume.
I recommend this title to anybody with a sense of humor. It's like a Ecchi version of Naruto and is one of the few shows that made me literally LAUGH OUT LOUD! More to come (like a review), I'm sure... |

| Even MORE Updates! |
His & Her Reviews are setup. The first review will be coming within the next few days.
Hopefully, I'll be able to setup the User Review section. This will allow users to agree, disagree, or otherwise contribute to the reviews posted on the site. (In case anyone was wondering, His & Her Reviews will be added by adam & agie.)
Another update to the Profile was done with another field added. Your suggestions count, so please add them to the Messageboards if there is something you feel is missing from our profiles.
Additional information has been added to the Site Header Gallery. More coming in this section soon, including a few new headers.
Preferences have been updated.
Another LARGE batch of very small updates was done. This is mainly fixing small bugs, formatting changes, and very minor updates. |

| More site updates |
More tools were added to My Images (including image captions)
Began work on the Favorite/Blocked users part of the Preferences area
Top 10 Lists were setup, including the ability for registered users to respond!
Sweepstakes area is all setup in preperation for our August DVD Giveaway (look for more details coming next month)
Success Stories are setup with the first Featured Couple being myself and agie! If you meet someone from our service, be sure to submit your own!
Lots of little updates were done as well. These aren't really worth mentioning though. Look for more updates over the next week. Mainly, I'm hoping to enhance most of the above features. |

| Finally...Member to Member messaging! |
Finally, what all AnimeDates.com members have been waiting for. Logged in users may message other users! Please note that regular members are only allowed to send two (2) messages a day due to bandwidth constraints. Paid members may send unlimited messages.

| New features |
New features over the last week include:
* Users can post Messageboard replies
* Slight update to the profiles (more coming!)
* Redesigned the Image Control Panel
* Addition of Themes (under 'Preferences')
* More themes will be added soon...
The 'His/Her Review' section is also coming soon.This will also allow users to post their own reviews in the messageboards!
